Letters in the word but in the wrong position (yellow tiles)

How to Use the Wordle Solver

  • 🟩 Correct Letters (Green Tiles): Enter letters that are in the correct position. Type a letter in each tile to indicate it's in that exact position.
  • 🟨 Misplaced Letters (Yellow Tiles): Enter letters that are in the word but in the wrong position. Each tile represents a position where the letter is NOT located.
  • ⬛ Excluded Letters (Gray Tiles): Enter all letters that are not in the word at all.
  • Click the Search button to find all possible 5-letter words matching your constraints.

Example:

If you know the word starts with A and ends with E, enter A in the first green tile and E in the last green tile. Then add any misplaced or excluded letters to narrow down the results.

What is Wordle?

Wordle is a free daily word puzzle game created by Josh Wardle that took the internet by storm in 2021-2022. Now owned by The New York Times, Wordle has become a global phenomenon with millions of daily players.

How to Play Wordle

The Rules

Color Code System

Green: Correct letter in the correct position

Yellow: Correct letter in the wrong position

Gray: Letter not in the word

Green Example: The letter is correct and in the right position

B
R
A
K
E

If the answer is "BRAKE" and you guess "BRAKE", all letters turn green because they're all correct and in the right positions

Yellow Example: The letter is in the word but in the wrong position

C
R
A
N
E

If you guess "CRANE" and the answer is "BRAKE", the R turns yellow because R is in the answer but at position 3, not position 2 where you placed it

Gray Example: The letter is not in the word at all

M
U
S
I
C

If you guess "MUSIC" and the answer is "BRAKE", all letters turn gray because none of them (M, U, S, I, C) are in the answer
